AC Milan are one of at least three clubs who are wanting to sign Youssouf Fofana from Monaco during the summer window, according to a report.

As Footmercato writes, Monaco are second in Ligue 1 behind PSG and they are heading for the Champions League five and a half years after last playing in it. Fofana is a big part of that, having arrived in the winter of 2020 from Strasbourg.

Fofana is having his best season with Monaco, and he now has 17 caps for the French national team, scoring three goals in quick succession against Gibraltar, Greece and Chile. He scored the only goal of the game against Lille on Wednesday with a nice shot from outside the area.

Beyond his goals, his leadership and ability to break through lines to serve team-mates has stood out to Didier Deschamps, who will soon name his squad for Euro 2024 in Germany.

The summer could be interesting for a player who will only have one year left on his contract with the Ligue 1, and who has no shortage of admirers.

According to the report, PSG have asked for information about him, while abroad it is Atletico Madrid, Milan and Arsenal who are also on his trail.
