Tottenham Hotspur Fixture Run In: April 2024

We are in the final stretch of the 2023/24 Premier League season and there is still a lot of football to be played. Tottenham Hotspur have 10 games remaining, including facing each of the top three teams Arsenal, Liverpool and Manchester City. Sitting three points behind fourth-place Aston Villa but with a game in hand, how do April’s fixtures for the Lilywhites look? Last Word On Sports takes a deeper look.

Luton at Home

The North London outfit welcome Premier League new boys Luton Town to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday in a battle of teams at the two ends of the table. The Home team would be hoping a win takes them level on points with Villa in fourth, while the Terriers would be hoping a victory can take them further up the table to safety.

Given the gap in teams in terms of quality along with Luton’s long injury list, we see this being a relatively straightforward win for Tottenham. It should be said, however, that Luton are an unpredictable team and remain fully capable of beating anyone on their day, but the Lilywhites should just about have enough.

West Ham Away

After welcoming Luton, they make the short trip to the London Stadium to take on their fierce local rivals West Ham United. The Hammers have been somewhat of a bogey team for Tottenham in recent times, often taking points from games in which they were the second-best team.

The reverse fixture from December earlier this season is a great example of this, as Ange Postecoglou’s men dominated the ball, but eventually lost 2-1 to two well-taken goals by West Ham. Diving deeper into the history books, who can forget when Jose Mourinho’s Tottenham team gave up a 3-0 lead to draw 3-3 after a Manuel Lanzini screamer in the last minute of the game. All in all, West Ham have admittedly been patchy this season and the visitors should be good enough to get at least a point from this game.

Nottingham Forest at Home

The Tricky Trees will be more motivated than ever to win every game in an effort to stay in the Premier League after suffering a points deduction for failing to abide by the Profit and Sustainability Rules.

What should have been a relatively straightforward win for Tottenham will now certainly be a highly contested affair as former Lilywhite manager, Nuno Espirito Santo returns to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the first time since his November 2021 sacking. It will not be an easy or pretty win, but we expect Spurs to leave with all three points.

Newcastle Away

One of the most intimidating away venues in the Premier League, Tottenham Hotspur travel to St. James’ Park on April 13 with hopes of securing at least a point. The Magpies may look like an entirely different team than the one that lost 4-1 in the reverse fixture, as they have several key players returning from injury.

This will be the stiffest test for Postecoglou’s men in April thus far, but they need to at least get a draw if they are to stay on the heels of Aston Villa in the race for Champions League football.

Arsenal At Home

The fixture that all fans look forward to the most, welcoming their bitter rivals to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 27 in what will be a mouth-watering clash. The reverse fixture saw the Lilywhites leave the Emirates stadium with a point after two goals from skipper, Heung-min Son.

With Arsenal chasing their first Premier League title in 20 years, nothing will satisfy the Tottenham supporters more than a win which will serve two purposes: add three vital points in the search for Champions League qualification and dent Arsenal’s title hopes.
